We live in a declining Empire.

Voltaire described it well:

“History is replete with the sound of silken slippers going downstairs and wooden shoes coming up.”

In my opinion ISIS pales in significance compared to the threat NAZI Germany posed to the world during WWII and the Soviets during the Cold War. ISIS is is a bunch of cowardly terrorist bastards, don't flatter them by raising them to the level of the tremendous foes we had in recent history. ISIS will never take over the world. I'm sorry if I have offended anyone.
