Very rich after carb rebuild

So I just rebuilt the carb on my '53. Then left the key on and toasted the coil. Fixed that and added a pertronix ignition. Back to running again.
Now my issue. At idle it is running really rich. So much it loads up in just a few seconds. Open up the throttle and it clears out and runs well.
First question, the screw at the base of the carb, Which way, in or out, leans the idle circut? I set it at 1 1/4 turns out to start.
Next question, Ideas on what to go after to get the rich idle fixed? This carb has alot more parts than I'm used to working with, I know my way around a farm tractor carb, but this one is a bit more complex.
