Steering Knuckle Stop Bolt Adjustment

So...the TM9-8031-2 manual calls for a "41-G-449" gage to set the maximum turning radius of the right and left steering knuckles, and since I'm changing out the flange assemblies on both sides, I'll have to do this procedure. But I'm assuming that finding one of these gages is well nigh impossible.

Does anyone know what the gap between the flange assembly and the axle housing should be? Or have one of these tools that they'd be willing to loan or sell?

If you haven't dismantled yours yet, you could measure the gap.

Thanks. That idea occurred to me as well...after I had completely disassembled the axle. Oops. I could reassemble the flange assemblies and bearings to check the dimensions, but there's no assurance that it was set at the correct gap by whoever originally welded the stop bolts and nuts. I've found enough "repairs" on this truck that were jury-rigged and out-of-spec to not be willing to trust much of what was done to it in the past.

When the sun goes down, I'll see if I can get a good measurement.
