Will the m151 wiper motors work on the M37?

Hi 06,
I assume you mean the vacuum motors on the 151 and the 151A1, and not the electric wiper motors on the A2. I believe the vacuum wipers will fit right up on your M37, as they were used on the M38 jeeps too, and the M38s also work with the M37 motors. I don't have one here to compare, but I do believe they are interchangeable. Anybody know for sure??
regards,
bob

They will bolt up, same bolt spacing. Problem is, they don't lock in the horizontal position because the 151 and M38's had them mounted at the bottom of the windshield and the wipers naturally laid horizontal. Mounting at the top of the windshield in an M37 the wipers will slowly creep to the vertical position, I know, that's what was on my M37 when I got it and couldn't figure out why they kept dropping until I realized that they were the wrong motors.

Thanks, I figured as much. The 151 motors are pretty cheap(and easy to find).

They take up a lot of sight-lines, too, leaving you to peer around the sides of the motor housing.

Just a question, are the 151 motors bigger than the M37 motors? (my truck currently has no wiper motors- they were gone when i got the truck)

I should have clarified that I'm speaking of the M151A2 wiper motors that have a square box mount; yes, they are bigger than the M37 wipers.
