Very nice, lots of potential there to do what you want without altering the truck to much.
Thanks,
Bert

I saw that one listed at an estate sale. It sat in the desert for 31 years not moving. 10 was the asking price at the time. I was asking 4 OBO.

Looking for a 4bt in this part of Kansas is tough. I know that a few people have put 318's in their M37s. Has anyone put the 6.2 diesel from a cucv in one? Would it fit? A 6.2 may be easier to find around here than a 4bt.

Nice solid looking rig, Food Truck would be unique! Ice Cream would be easier budget for you!

Check the Most Practical Modification Thread where Juan, one of our members from Argentina has posted some comments about his 6.2 diesel and a few pictures. He could answer any questions about his setup.

I found a site where they did a 6.2. Needed lots of mods to fit. I'll be sticking with the 4BT. Adding some pics of work so far. Removed bulkhead and old wiring harness. Plus some of the front end. Also interior aluminum bits. Cleaned out lots of old insulation and mouse homes. Will be continuing removal of front end for new drive. Tires maybe by end of week to help in pushing it around yard. All 5 tires on it are dated stamped 1953.

Tires look great. You can see the USAF Strata Blue coming through on the fenders.

Blue over red. Found the engine in this donor truck. Moving forward. Even if it seems slow.

Currently donor has been dismantled. 4BT hanging in garage. Next week "project Mohawk" gets moved in to start the transplant. I'm going to use the T-19 for now. Save some cash to do axles. 4.89 and disc brakes.
