Snow...Again!

Getting very tired of winter, 2 degrees this morning after 10 to 12" of snow yesterday. After clearing my driveway I plowed the private road leading into the community where I live, it was impassible until I went to work.

Sorry, Carter, but it still looks like a really fun toy to me. :D

Of course, it very seldom snows where I live.

I agree 52. I blew up the pic and lightened it and you can see Carter's face in the rear view mirror grinning like a kid reading his first Playboy!

Great picture Carter! I'd be exhausted from all of that snow too! We got a paltry 8 inches last weekend-temps hitting the 60s this weekend; guess I'll fix my wipers....

Temps hitting the 60s would be welcome here Gary, last night we got down to 0 F. breaking the old record of 7 but the forecast is for a high of 40 and then up to 48 by Wed. great news for this guy who is longing for spring and a chance to get the plow dismounted so I can change a leaking oil pan gasket.

Got that right....
And now the poor truck is running terrible - keeps stalling out/ running erratic - and given the cold not really excited about checking the fuel filter / carb. Seems to run a bit better when i run the elec lift pump in addition to the mechanical pump.

Come on spring, hurry up and get here. I almost feel bad for the Boston area, they have way more then us here in Maine.

This photo was the last storm - one week after the previous storm photos that i posted. I can tell by the lack of red snow from the ATF fluid leaking from the plow hoses - that was a fun fix in the middle of the blizzard. Frozen fingers covered in ATF fluid, while turning the cold wrenches....fun times.

F18 and Bert, thanks, an M37 is the best way to combine the our hobby and snow removal. although an dated design these trucks are unbeatable for what ever task they are ask to preform. I used to plow with a WC52 which was OK but lacking the 2 speed transfer case of an M37 the WC was not as versatile.
Some folks may have wondered why my rig lacks cargo box end curtains and the answer to that question is,operating with out them allows for better visibility. I have two sets and would use them when hauling a load that needed to be kept dry but usually the bed is empty and curtains almost completely block rearward vision. I suppose they could be installed and stored rolled up and I may try that when the weather improves but for now I will keep things the way they are.

OBTW, I made the artic hard top and doors for this truck.

Do you have any more pictures of the WC52? I like the looks of that artic top, nice job.
