This year I will have been involved in one way or another in the MV hobby. Another post got me to be thinking of MV ownership and I'd thought I would share. Enjoy.
Ten Rules for Historic Military Vehicle Ownership.
Rule #1: Don't believe the fuel gauge to be accurate.
Rule #2: Keep the gas can full.
Rule #3: You will spend more time turning the wrench than turning the wheels.
Rule #4: When it rains water will find its way to the driver’s right foot
Rule #5: You won’t go fast ever, don’t even try.
Rule #6: Non-Directional tires suck.
Rule #7: If your HMV has a heater it will have only two settings: Icicles or Burn your leg off.
Rule #8: HMV will mark their territory!
Rule #9: When you attend MV events some “expert” will tell you everything that’s wrong with your vehicle.
Rule #10: Your ride was built for combat not comfort!
