The forecast for tonight is a low around 30 degrees, with snow possible by Sunday morning. Glad I got the front clip and top back on in time. If it snows I will definitely get the M out into it and post some photos!
More to follow,
Gary

Last Saturday morning the thermometer indicated 29F here Gary. Bert, today the weather prognosticator waved his arms and commented snow mixed with rain possible this evening, not worried about accumulation.
I am thinking that snow plow mounting might be a good idea in a couple of weeks.

I remember that photo, Carter, exactly what I anticipate this winter! Bert, I see a big storm tracking your way, too!

I think the big storm headed to my AO is because of something Carter did talking about mounting his plow on the truck.

Carters weather shows up here a couple of days before he sees it.

Could be! I took mine on a 5 mile drive around the neighborhood Thursday since the weather was still nice; also wanted to be sure my last brake adjustments are holding up (and they are) :).

It was snowing hard enough on the ride in today that I had to use the wipers, 35 - 40 MPH winds.

I drove back home from Dunlap, TN this last Saturday. The roads were fine until I approached South Holland, IL @ 20:30 and the snow started. I was able to get to where I-294 heads north when the roads turned to a skating rink and the dumb-a$$ drivers in their expensive 4 wheel drives decided to get in the hammer lane and see how fast they could drive.

My wife counted over 100 wrecks in the next 1.5 hour ride. When we made it back to WI the roads were barely visible, not plowed and minimal salt. I measured about 4" of snow on the patio behind our house.

Today its a balmy 7* F when I fired the truck up at 05:30 for the ride into town, we should hit our high of 18* F with no problem since the sun it out today.

Last weekend's snow petered out to a paltry 2 inches here in Draper; however, it was 12 degrees and knocked out our furnace, leaving us with the oven and a space heater the past two nights to survive. The furnace was repaired today, and a major storm is forecast next weekend-possibly a foot or two here in the mountains. Going to warm up the M37 later today, just to mix the coolant up a bit.

I'm hoping all our members and friends from the Buffalo area had their plows mounted and chains on... It must be an unreal sight to get a years worth of snow in 3 days. As a Canuck I'm used to snow, but that amount would give even the best of us a run for our money. Good luck on the dig out now, and the impending flooding if it warms up next week...

Even more importantly, get those roofs shoveled. If it rains or warms up significantly all that wet snow will start to pancake houses and buildings with little to now warning. A buckled roof sucks, but a flat family is far worse...
