Jeep Wheel Question!

Hello Crew.
I bought a CJ2A a while back. The tires and even the rims are in very poor condition.
On one of my trips to Nebraska I found a set of wheels and non-directional tires (7:00x16) for a reasonable price.
A Friend and reliable source tells me the rims from a M-151 MUTT Jeep will not fit the CJ2A.
Is it the bolt pattern or the center hole that's the problem?? (both?) He has several sets of 4.

Tim , If memory serves me right , I think they will physically go on but something with the way they locate on the hub is screwy. I know Jeep wheels locate off of they the lug nut tapers but I am not sure about mutt wheels, didn't the lug nuts have a washer attached to them kind of like the hub pilot wheels on todays big rigs? I had a 1969 CJ 5 years ago that someone had put mutt wheels on and took them off right away because I didn't like how they fit on.
Have fun fixin' its a great hobby :D

Thanks Paul.
Almost everyone I've talked to had said the same thing. Some little difference in the wheel keeps them from mounting the hub properly.
I'll most likely buy at least one set and if my rims are as bad as I think they are I'll just try and find another set of wheel.
Wish I owned a tire machine! I'm getting too old to change tires by hand and too cheap to pay someone else to do it.

I have access to a tire machine, I just wish I had access to someone else to operate it....lol
Either that, or run lighter tires...lol

they fit fine I have some on my 46 but i'd get wheel spacers or just put them on backwards because they rub in the front :)
