The easiest way to get a passenger side mirror mount is to copy the Canadian version. All CDN trucks had passenger side mirrors along with some other improvements on the original design. MWM has reproduced the mounting bracket if you don't want to make your own. I'll have to look for a pic to post or take another one when I get a moment. This topic has been covered here before...

The ones I made copying the driver side I don't think will work with fuel can there. Of course mine is missing the fuel can mount and everything so I didn't think of it. Oh well, Ill still use what I made but if I install fuel can mount may make a different arm to clear it.
Pics of the Canadian version would be cool to. Guess ill have to dig up some pics on the fuel can mount. Although finding a good fuel can is pretty hard. I used to have a couple years ago but have no idea what I did with them.

I think Cabell made one that attached to the Jerry Can handles?

I have thought about adding a mirror there but always figured the door or door glass would hit the mirror (if it is adjusted correct for you to see the passenger side blind spot) when you opened the door.

The other option I have seen is the bracket like I think the Canadians had where it was mounted off of the two bolts that hold the passenger fender side panel.

Back to work on the old girl tomorrow. I think for now, since I have no fuel can mount, Ill mount the mirror on the windshield pivot like the driver side. Later, when I do the fuel can mount I may make it like yours m-37bruce, That looks neat and I can use some of the same parts I made.
Tomorrow will work on cowl vent. Hope to get it all on and working, all seized up at the moment.

Some good progress today, Got the dash all sanded and primed. Had to weld up about 10 screw holes in the dash that I'm sure were not there originally. Its amazing how many holes get drilled in something that's 63 years old. I did leave all those that looked like where a data plate should go.
I found some weather stripping to put on the cowl vent that seemed to work well. Finally got cowl all primed and sanded along with each front cab corner. Getting real close to painting cab tub now. Probably one night this week I hope, then on to rear bed.

Sounds good, I am working on my bed and tailgate as well. I'm sure you will finish before me?

Finally got some more done. Only had chance to do a little over weekend. but did manage to get the cab tub painted tonight. Looks good at least in the shop. Will know better once outside in the sun. Have plenty of light in shop but painting requires even more so I usually paint outside. I only paint equipment and old military trucks so outside suits me better. Try to post a pic tomorrow.

Not worked on old girl much. But have got a few things done. Managed to do a bunch of body work on rear bed. Not perfect but pretty good. Dents and dings show character especially for an old truck. Got the bed painted on mounted. I may never get this truck done at this rate
