The Military Spec calls for Color #24087 of Fed Std No. 595.
Is that by any chance a typo for 24078?

24087 is the standard MV color from the mid 50's until the early to mid 70's. I don't recall any truck being painted with 24078.

Thanks for the info. The reason I asked was that I dropped by Memphis Equipment earlier this week and they had never heard of 87. Their paint color chip chart did show 78.

The Mil Spec for the 708 contained so many other typos that I didn't trust it.
