Just installed my new canvas top for my cab. Looks great, from Beachwood Canvas. The old metal clips, two per side that fit into the seam of the canvas and then into the roof supports were pop riveted to the seam of the canvas. Just to get a measurement to rivet I slid them into the seams. They actually snapped into the roof supports and are holding well with no rivets.
Does anyone know if this is the way it's supposed to be or are they to be riveted. My old top was not original.

My cab top tabs only slide into the slots on the supports, no rivets.

Mine is a zero rivet setup as well...

Thanks guys, it's what it thought. previous top didn't fit as tight so thats probably why previous owner riveted them.
