water pump pulley doesnt line up with lower one

i put on a new waterpump and the pully doesnt line up with the crankshaft pulley. the water pump pulley sticks out about a inch farther out. did i get the wrong waterpump.

Dave,
Can you compare the old pump to the new one? I don't know how many pumps they made for the Chrysler flathead 6.....but there's probably a few.

When I replaced mine ,I had to have the spacer machined down. I don't remember the details now,but there is a discussion here about it.

i fixed it. the spacer was in the wrong place. the previous owner put it on wrong. thanks dave
