Is this the correct way to mark a unit on the bumper?

I am ordering stencils for my '53 M37 and need to make sure the bumper markings are correct for the unit I have chosen to represent. It is the 4th Fighter Interceptor Wing, 336 Fighter Squadron stationed in Korea after the armistice. I believe it should be "4 FIW 336 FS" on the drivers side of the front bumper. Should there be anything on the bumperette on the rear? The passenger side will have "FEAF" and the propellor insignia.
Can anyone tell me if this will be the correct way to mark the bumper?

I went with early markings. FEAF is correct with Symbol of prop and wings. I think the drivers side would also be FIS also. Identical on the rear except symbol.

So you think that " (logo) FEAF 4 FIW 336 FIS " on the front is good? The rear will be "FEAF" on the left and "4 FIW 336 FIS" with 4 FIW on top on the right bumperette.

Most people don't know how the AF marked their vehicles. But no matter how you mark you truck there will be some "expert" who will tell you that you did it wrong. Mark it as you think is right and don't worry about it.

Good point. Those are the same guys who will climb under your truck and point out that one of your bumper bolts isn't a Dodge Brothers bolt.

Hmm, those bumper numbers look like 3 inch or 4 inch. I was looking at 5 inch. I didn't realize you had picked the 4 FIW too!

Bumper and hood markings are typically done with 3" tall characters. 2" tall characters are sometimes used if space prohibits the use of 3". Rear bumperettes are marked identical to the front.

I've changed the size to 3" now. I think I am settled on it. Thanks everyone!
