Thawed Out

Well it appears the snow may have finally stopped here in Ohio. After 6 months I fired the rig up and backed it out of the garage yesterday. This was the first winter I did not even tinker with it. It was so cold and the weather was so miserable I had no desire to play in an unheated garage.
I need to get some 100LL in her to freshen up the fuel, do my oil change and p/m and get it ready for Memorial Day. The only MV related task I accomplished all winter was to assemble my tail lamps for the M101A1. I should have that project wrapped up by Memorial Day as well. I am looking forward to pulling the trailer in the parade.

I hope all my freinds here on the forum are doing well. Welcome to the new members :)

Hi David,
Been a while for sure! Glad you're unwrapped and moving the M around-looks like temps finally hitting "operating temperature" here, meaning it's time to turn some wrenches (although we still had flurries all day yesterday, up here in the mountains)....

Glad to hear you are getting close to having your trailer on the road. Be sure to post pictures of your truck and trailer together.

I'm looking forward to your parade pictures also.

Good Luck with your trailer! :D

Hi David:
I've been feverishly working on the the bed of the M37 all "winter" long. The temps here in mid April are
now approaching high 80's and low 90's so I've been putting in many hours each day to get that part of
the M37 restoration completed before the summer blast furnace kicks in. Early morning temps are still
in the 60's but that won't last for long.
Every weekend is a chance to do something with an MV and I've been busy doing events with M151A2 and
attached M416 trailer. Most weekends have many, many events to take an MV to.
But the inevitable, brutal summer weather is not far off and those of us in southern Arizona tend to
hibernate. Not unlike your winters in frozen tundra land. So, it's a trade off. Come July around here
the M37 will not see much use until the end of Sept.
Enjoy your spring and summer. Hope all youse guys up nor't get to have a lot of fun.
Jerry

Hey Jerry,

I hear it can get pretty stiffling out there in in summer. The Tuesday snow here melted off by Wednesday and it should be in the 60's for most of the Easter weekend. We fired up the grill at work and cooked some burgers yesterday. Slow but sure spring has arrived.
I have a new set of gages to put in the M37 and I must do the spring p/m and it will be ready to pull the M101A1 :) It will be nice to have a new accessory to take to the shows. The big Findlay, Oh military show is in May as well as a Willy's reunion that same weekend I get invited to. They like anything old and "Jeepish" Looking forward to it.
Enjoy your time with your OD as well :)

Love the "weather guesser" comment! Anyway, yes, we're on tap for yet another storm here by Wednesday, with snow where I am (6200 feet)....
Glad I got my brake shoes installed last week-just waiting on the power bleeder to arrive.
