PTO queston

I have a 53 m and want to know if the 55 chevy 6 cylinder 4 speed with a PTO is the same PTO that the M uses?
I'm going to say no. But I've been wrong before.
Considering the transmission in the M37 is a New Process, and the Chevy unit is a Spicer SM420 I'm going to be presumptuous and say they won't interchange.
