windshield install

cant find the U shaped rubber that the windshield glass goes into so I am looking for what to use besides silicone to install the glass in the channel,i thinking of a tape of somekind , and where to get it,any ideas out there ,thanks jack

The material the glass place gave me was flat and I kind of wrapped it around the glass.

You got it Rick, flat, what I have is fabric material on one side with black rubber like coating on the other, it was used on flat not curved military truck windshields, 3/4, 2 1/2 and 5 tons and probably others.. Got a roll of it when my old N.G. was turning in their M37s and gave me all the parts and supplies that were left over.

OK, I am looking for the box I packed it in when I moved my stuff to my new garage, it's out their somewhere, worked all day yesterday putting stuff away and looking for it. Let you know when I find it.
