I'm about to start painting the registration lettering on my Strata Blue truck. I know that the color is "Registration Yellow" but is there an acceptable match or should I just find something that looks ok. Wally World has a couple that look close in spray cans.

I've heard that traffic line yellow is about the right color.

For lettering and numbers on my first USMC M37 I used NAPA School Bus Yellow.
Don't know if it would match USAF.
On my USMC M151A2 I used spray cans from Home Depot. Looked good new but did
not last very long and faded way to soon. Considering the cost of stensils, I learned my lesson.
Buy the best quality automotive paint that money can buy. Do it once; do it right.

From DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE MIL-STD-642L IDENTIFICATION MARKING OF COMBAT AND TACTICAL TRANSPORT VEHICLES
5.1 Vehicle Marking.
5.1.4 Colors. Color of markings shall conform, as applicable, to color chips of FED-STD-595 as follows:
a. Lusterless white No. 37875 shall be used on vehicles painted with dark lusterless or semi-gloss colors.
b. Lusterless black No. 37038 shall be used on vehicles painted with lusterless forest green and camouflage colors.
c. Semi-gloss yellow No. 23538 shall be used on vehicles painted Standard Marine Carps green semi-gloss.
d. Lusterless yellow No. 33538 shall be used on vehicles painted Standard Marine Corps green lusterless.

This gives a FED-STD-595 Yellow color for marking, but doesn't state for use with Strata Blue.
