Gents,
I'd like to put my truck up on jack stands for the winter, but I'm not sure the best place to position them. Any advice? I've got an M43 so it's a bit heavier.

thanks,
Justin

Well if your trying to keep the tires off the ground then under the axle housings, close to the wheels.
Otherwise you have to get it to high to put under the frame.
Put the jacks on a wide flat board also to keep them from sinking.

thanks, not sure if my stands are tall enough to go via the frame so likely it will be via axles. Fortunately it's garaged with a nice concrete floor

I always use a square piece of 2x4 between the jack stand and the axle. It gives a little bit more height (1.5") and the wood slightly deforms under the weight to cradle it fairly well. Maybe some board stock underneath would give some height also or some larger jack stands.

thanks, I was planning to make some wood cradles for protection and some extra height would be welcome

I have always gone to the axle as close to the wheels as I could, and never had a problem.

Done this with both civi Pws and M37s

Good luck!
