coming out of storage

hey guys,
quick question,
my duece has been sitting for 10 months. what are some things i need to do before taking it out on the road,, its been stored inside a barn out of the weather, i know the basics, but just incase i forgot somthing,

Is diesel suseptible to going bad as does gasoline? If so, then it probably would be a good idea to drain the fuel and start out fresh.

Maybe pour some diesel conditioner in the tank, although diesel lasts a bit longer than gasoline. Check fluids etc... Also, when cranking it, crank it for a few seconds before turning on the electricity/fuel. That way you can hear it if anything in the engine isn't happy before the engine starts running.

hi,
ive kept it running, i started it about once a month, its funny, when i parked it, the oil pan had a slight leak, now it isnt leaking,but the rear pto, which has never leaked, now is leaking, and the whole rear axil
shows it,,, and the truck hasnt moved in ten months.i find that really funny

Fuel age shouldn't be an issue, I've ran them with several years old fuel where I work. If you ran it and shut it down all winter I would be more concerned about condensation water in the engine oil from the heating and cooling cycles it went through.

Good, you kept it running. Otherwise it sounds like you've just got a rear seal to replace.

yeah, i didnt do that in the winter of o6, i had to keep charging the
batteries, this winter, not once, probably, because i had it inside
