TAIL LAMP QUESTION!! HELP!!

Hey Crew.
I'm going to post some pictures of my tail-lamps in my photo album (Tim Powell) in the back pages and I need to know why the left side tail-lamp has 3 wires and the right side tail lamp has a different lens and only 2 wires.
Did my 1952 only have one brake light on the left?? If so, that would explane the third wire.
I never even noticed the lenses were different!! What next!
Which lens is correct?

Tim,

In 1952 the Army only used one stop light/tail light on the left side of Mill Vehicles. The right side had the black out stop light. The bottom light on each side was the black out marker/tail light. It wasn't until about 1963/64 that the Army started requiring two brake lights one on each side.

So if you are making your truck as it was in 1952 then only one brake/tail light would be correct. But it would be just fine and acceptable for on the road driving to do a Modification Work Order (MWO) on your truck and install and additional brake light.
