M37s in a Movie

Hi Guys,

We watched a movie this weekend (via Netflix) called The Celestine Prophecy. It was a decent enough flick, the story line is someone finds a bunch of ancient religious scrolls in ruins in Peru and it turns out everything happens for a reason in life. A bunch of folks start to understand the scrolls and become more enlightened as they go. Not a bad flick, but the cool part is the Peruvian military drive M37s. There's at least three different ones in the movie. My girlfriend couldn't figure out why I kept pausing the movie to stare a green truck. So if you've seen them all and want a good flick that just happens to have M37s driving around........check it out.

regards,
bob

The movie was done in part at least in Florida. Bill Lammers supplied the trucks from his yard fleet. One of them was listed recently for sale by Bill. He might chime in and give you the real story. I think there were other posts here and the usual places in the past regarding this movie.

Yes, I rented the movie people 2 yard beater M37's. They did not want anything good looking and that is what they got. They paid well and I was allowed to be on set during filmimg just in case. Nothing broke but they hired local Mexicans and they either spoke no English or could not drive a stick. They filmed in an old lime rock pit that now has become a zip line attraction. Anyone know a good picture site so I can unload some pictures?
