Anyone know what the approximate weight of a stripped M37 cab (i.e. without doors, seats, windshield assembly, etc.) is?

In the neighborhood of 600 pounds, maybe less, I believe. Four guys can carry one if they grunt enough.

A striped cab is under 400 lbs but could be as much as 500lbs depending on how many layers of paint it has. I have moved many cabs by myself (with the aide of some dunnage) out of the box on to the floor then on to a frame. its surprising how fast the weight adds up when doors, glass, battery box... are added. granted I am a tall (6.1) thin 160lb wiry freak.

the cab is best handled by four

Thanks for the cab weight info. Looks like I won't need to buy a higher capacity hoist, so this is good news. :D

I used a standard floor crane.

Only took me and my son to remove it.

The cab removed and the floor crane supporting the weight. We were just balancing it as we moved it to the other end of the shop.
