Hi Guys,

Has anyone ever run across stainless steel brake lines for the M37?. I see VPW sells the steel line sets, but for a few bucks more I'd rather have stainless. I sent an email to Inline Tube, but don't expect a positive reply. So I'm just wondering if anyone had ever seen such a thing.

thanks,
bob

When I re-do my brakes, I will probably use the nickel/copper brake lines since they are easier to form. http://www.fedhillusa.com/

I have used this for 90% my fuel supply lines, like it so far.

We use stainless tubing for both brake and fuel lines on all our rebuilt trucks. Does a super job in both appearance and functionality; rust isn't a factor, and will be there for the long haul. Barring physical damage of some sort, they should never have to be replaced. We custom make ours in house as each truck we build is most often different from the last in some way.

Today's coated tubing, while a lot better than zinc coated tubing is still vulnerable to chipping, sand, and debris build up that can damage the coating and expose the steel tube to the elements.

Hi Guys,

I got back email respones from both FineLines and Inline Tube. Neither stocks any lines for the M37 (no surprise there), but Inline can duplicate any line on the truck if they're sent one to copy.

bob

if that is the same green lines that some napas sell it is the worst junk out there. kinks instantly. the best stuff I have ever used in 28 years is the Balkamp brand that napa sells. Made in USA

I guess I was lucky, no problems here with the green stuff? I do like BALKAMP products.
