Hey guys! I will be working on my hardtop shortly but I am having trouble finding the seals for the rear sliding window. I want to rebuild it to work like new with new guides and seals. Anybody know where these are available. I did search MWM and vintage power wagon and did some googleing. I am coming up empty. Any suggestions. I even looked in the M37 repair manual and even there I find nothing about the rear window. I'm puzzled. Is this cab an accessory? Is a soft top standard equipment? Why can't I find anything when the rest of the truck most all parts a readily available.

Canvas was the standard top; the correct M37 OEM hard tops are hard to find and so are the window parts. Many who need a "must have hard top" use a CCKW hard top with the oval rear window.
Sorry I don't know who would have them (and I've got my beater CCKW top in my basement)

You may have good luck taking your window to a glass shop. One that specilizes in all kinds of glass including industrial machines etc. You may find they will have the seals you are looking for.

The U-shaped metal channel around the window that the "fuzzy" sweeps sit in is only 7/16th's wide.
You might also try heavy equipment and farm implement dealers like CAT, John Deere, etc. Their
new rigs with heated and air conditioned cabs have lots of sliding windows.
I'll check with a local auto restoration supplier today and let you know. They have thousands of
different clips, pins, screws, weatherstripping and other parts used to restore vehicles.
I'll take my window in to them today to see if they can match.

Today, I did go to the auto restoration shop mentioned above. While they had a zillion different
types of weatherstripping none were a perfect fit. The knowledgeable lady there also suggested
the "loop" side of Velcro. I tried a small strip and it seems to work fine. May be a good temporary
solution. May be good forever. (?) And it's cheap.

The same lady suggested a commercial fabric company that has window channel. There I found
fuzzy channel that I think will work. I only had the window with me and not the frame so
couldn't test it. Will go back tomorrow with the window and frame. It only comes in 8' sections and
is $36.00 plus tax. No refunds and they would not give me a sample to take with. It's metal channel
on the outside with the fuzzy stuff on the inside and fits into the 7/16ths groove in the window.

I took mine to my local glass shop I use and said "fix it". Came back the next week and it had new glass and all the weather stripping replaced. If I remember right it cost about $75.00. Works perfect!

PS: If you need to replace any of the glass frame metal pieces I have some new ones left over from when I had some made for my window.

Well I went to Faucher industries in Edmonton and they checked all they had and they were all too big. So I stopped at out local upholtlstry shop and picked up some material. I'll try it and let you all know how it turned out.

Some time back; Memphis Equipment had some sliding window assemblies that were new in the box. Last one I used was very good, don't know whether they have any left, but checking is worth a shot.
