Gerry I can't find the answer you're looking for. Try this, lay out your harness, look at where the terminal ends are. Like headlight ends blackout, oil pressure etc. Does it match your truck layout. Check the wire for the distributor, horn , horn button. look for what connects the front to the rear harness. I'm not sure that there are many types. Is it metal or rubber connectors? Ed

Hi Gerry,

I'm not near an ORd 9, but maybe someone can look it up for you. There are at least 3, maybe 4 different front harnesses by serial number. There is a real early truck harness (that no one seems to need), and 2 more more common harnesses, depending on what your headlight switch connectors look like. Those 3 are metal shell connector harnesses.....and there may be another.....and then there is a harness for the rubber Packard connectors. 1500368 is the part number for the harness for my M, which uses a headlight switch with the two connectors on the back. That's the best I can do from memory. :mrgreen:

I googled "8328320 wiring harness" and got a lot of hits.
You might try this and then read all of the entries to see
if it gives you the info. you're looking for.

If google doesn't work also try bing.com. Now I'm not sure which one I found the info.

Hi Gerry,

That 8328320 part number seems to ring a bell. I believe there was someone on Ebay selling a few of those harnesses a few months back. I checked into it and couldn't confirm that harness was for the M37. On www.wbparts.com you can get a description of the harness that says;

CONDUCTOR QUANTITY 33, CONDUCTOR SIZE 14 AWG, STRANDED CONDUCTORS, SYNTHETIC RUBBER INSULATED, 9 FT. 5 IN. APPROX O/A LG, TAPE BOUND WINDING METHOD, FIRST END TERMINA QTY. 1, SHELL ASSEMBLY TYPE P/N 8724258, SECOND END TERMINAL QTY. 31, CONNECTOR TYPE P/N 573450 QTY 1, CONNECTOR TYPE P/N 573451 QTY. 2, CONNECTOR TYPE P/N 573171 QTY. 12, CONNECTOR TYPE P/N 573172 QTY 16, NUMBERED BAND CODED CONDUCTORS

I checked the part numbers for the shell assembly and the connectors and they are not correct (per ORD 9) for any M37 made before 1954. So I'm not sure if this is a latter harness or if it's for another vehicle. Sorry I can't be of more help.

bob

My harness out of a 1953 is 1500368. Its the harness under dash that goes out the the front lights on both sides.

Gerry,

Mystery solved. Mix4coal has it right. 8328320 isn't listed in ORD 9, but it's corresponding Manufacturer's part number is, which is CC-1500368. The application listed is as follows;

CC-1500368 Harness, wiring, body (used on vehicle serial No. 80037413 and up except vehicle serial Nos. 80037420, 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26) (M37,M42 and V41)

So 8328320 is CC-1500368. The reason I know this is because I won an eBay auction from John at Midwest Military for harness Part number 1500368. It arrived today and there was no part number on the outer brown paper wrapping. So I peeled it off and there was the original label under the wax covering on the box. It had both the CC-1500368 manufacturer's part number and the 8328320 number on it. I don't know why ORD 9 just has a blank for the Ordinance part number on this one.....but the good news is it is a correct M37 harness for the trucks listed.

Sorry for any confusion I caused.

regards,
bob
