Does anyone have a source for the clips bolted to the frame and firewall that can be bent around hoses and wires? I can find the ones that bolt on but are bolted shut when attached, im looking for the ones more like the originals?

If you have your old ones, you can do what I did. I peeled off the remainder of the old rubber, reformed them to a nice round shape over a rod clamped in a vise, sandblasted them and painted them black. Then dipped them several times in Plastidip. They came out just like new.
Keep in mind, not all of the clips were rubber coated.

does the plastidip hold up to bending? I was wondering if that would work. Some of mine are beyond saving also.

I dont know how the plastidip would work if you dipped a straight piece and then bent it into a loop, but I would think it would do fine. Mine were all bent into "J" shapes and when I formed it around the wiring etc. it stayed on just fine.

Like PW Tim, I sand blasted, primed and painted all my clips. Then dipped them in Performix brand
"Plasti Dip" that I found at Home Depot. I dipped the pieces more than once for added thickness.
Follow the directions on the can.... slow in, slow out. Tedious.
Once the can is open the dip wants to thicken but can be thinned again with xylene, toluene, etc.

As a further test, I dipped the handles of a pair of dikes and a pliers... several times.
At this point no telling how well the "dip" will perform. Back at ya' in a year or so.

Is there a source for them to replace the ones that are rotted out?

I started to do this and did a few just fine but my surplus friend ended up finding 4 boxes of NOS ones

Look at Home Depot or at Lowes etc. in the electrical isles. They have the same type of clamp. Unless you're going for orginal and then that may not be an option.

Ive seen them and I think they are close enough. Id use them.

Ill check it out, they just have to be open like the originals so i can add/remove stuff without unbolting the clip, are the depot ones one sided or two sided like the originals?
