WTB Door Check arm mount

On the inside of the door is mounted a slotted steel plate that the door check arm slides through (and eventually bumps up against). It is not shown in any manual photos. I have a really good drivers door that is missing this one part. I think if I cut the face off the "bump" on the inside of the door that corresponds to the check arm location I can tack one in. Does anyone have a rusted out or otherwise useless door that would like to sell the slotted plate from inside? The getting it out part could take some time unless you just torch or grind the door box apart. Willing to pay whatever it's worth or trade for something else. Thanks, Rick

Rick,
John at Midwest has what you need....no need to cut a door apart. Look on page 13, about halfway down on the right and you'll see the pic of what you're looking for.

Thanks Bob !! I must have looked at those pages 50 times and never saw that. Now I just have to figure out what was supposed to hold it in the first place.

Hi Rick,
The steel plate is welded onto place from the inside. If you need a pic let me know and I can take one tomorrow. I'm beat and need to get some shuteye right now.
