my proposed M43 paint scheme

Just wanted to share my plans for my M43's eventual new paint job, I'm oddly excited about it.
I'm going to use John Deere's Blitz Black (flat black) and keep the crosses, but paint them gloss black. Interior (cab and back) will be white.
I think it will look pretty bad-ass, like an evil anti-ambulance, but without completely obliterating its heritage.
That's it, just thought I'd share...

Sounds like a plan. Maybe reverse the glosses though gloss black the truck and flat balck the cross? Just a thought

thanks, but I like the flat black look and have heard that the Blitz Black is very durable and easy to maintain. It's also cheap!

Are you going to leave a white square with the black cross in the middle or do something like a shade of gray and then the cross. Oh and post pictures as you go! I think it's a law or something.!

MM.....you're a SICK man....but I like it. :D You need to Photoshop that idea and post it for everyone to see. Sounds like it's gonna be one Bad-Ass looking rig. An Adams family M43....awesome!

later,
bob

good question, definitely won't be white. Maybe the square will be gloss and the cross will stay flat. My photoshop skills are by no means stellar, but I have minions at work, he he!

Maybe you could add a touch of white to the black and make a very dark charcoal gray for the markings. That way you'd be all flat..

Not to be a downer, but if it is highly modified - go for it. But painting it a odd color will make it worth less back out on the market.
I painted a 57 Studebaker Silver Hawk that I had black, and swore I would never paint anything black again. Terrible to keep clean.

no worries, I appreciate everyone's input regardless. It will be quite some time before I actually can paint it,leaving me plenty of time to reconsider
