I have a hard time backing up after it gets dark. I purchased two LED lights, http://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo ... ight/1222/ which are pretty much the same diameter as the rear tail lights. I am going to mount them just outside of the tail lights and put a toggle switch on the dash. I think they will look like they belong, although a halogen would match better. What are others doing for backup lighting, and for license plate lighting?

I run a license plate light, taking a universal one, used sealer to attach it to a big magnet I got at the local craft shop and ran a hot wire with pigtail plug off my taillight harness. Also added a ground wire from the underside of the license plate bolt, again with pigtail plug to ensure a good ground. Finally, painted it 24087 Gillespie. This way it's street legal but also removable in 5 seconds if I wish to go with a straight military look. I'll post a picture tomorrow.

I put one of these on either side of my rear bumper, with a separate switch on the dash...I like it!

Here you go Jethro, I run front and rear marker lights on the rear so I can maintain the Australian transport standard and the 2 worklights are turned out blackout markers with halogen lights installed in the body.

Interesting looking vehicle MM. What model of truck is that? Is it a utility truck or a troop transport?

It's all of the above, MM has it rigged for prospecting/camping and a growing family. I guess Tony never got around to making an album..........this is not a suggestion MM, let's get on the ball TROOP!
It is a real nice version, a down-under one at that.

Criky mate, not an order, but lots of newbies haven't seen your rig.

I'll do something up soon, the website was to show the build of the truck, it was Lifer's idea and since he's passed on I haven't really been into it but I should get a move on with it I guess....
NB - I have reserved Chuck's user ID so it cannot be re-used, I know there are plenty of Lifer's out there but there will always only be one at G741, I am sure he is watching over us.
