Only can get off a few lines and post two pics. The first is my faithful M37B1 (Vietnam era) feeding my 3Kw Desert Storm Gen-Set. The second is just one of the pictures to show what the south shore of Long Island got hit with. That's a house boat that is around 600 yards inland. Damage is bad and I don't leave the house without my model 60.

Yes the trucks fuel supplies the generator. Also when I redid the truck I added the 24v slave and have the Nato jumper cable, so I also use the electric start on the gen-set which is a plug in. Sal, that next storm is making me pause in pulling the engine on the set and putting in a new rear main seal. I have a military 10KW unit that I need to repair and cut down a boat trailer to move it around. There should lots of cheap trailers once the insurance folks get finished

Nice generator setup using the M37 fuel tank. Great Yankee ingenuity!
A generator is like a pocket knife, you'll never use it if you don't have one.
A generator saved my son's basement in Ohio in the aftermath of Sandy's
torrential rains.
No electricity and no sump pumps. A small generator saved his basement
from being flooded and causing thousands of $$$ in damage.
I'll proudly take the credit for telling him to buy a small generator a few
years ago.

You did right by having him prepared. BTW the main reason that I don't use the below generator fuel tank is the E10 has a habit of killing the fuel pump diaphragm. So the small side tank for short runs and the truck for the longer haul since in both cases I trust gravity feed for the carb. I finally saw part of the barrier beach, OH sh!t, The dunes of Jones Beach are now gone. They were washed into the bay where I boat, so after knowing the bay for 60+ years I now have to relearn it.
