Well, I've been pretty bad about letting you guys know what me and my truck have been up to. So I thought I'd show you guys what things are looking like. I've had the truck out quite a bit this summer. I painted it back in march or april, but really haven't done much work since then. anyway, here are some links to some pics and videos. There's a video of me driving, and it sounds horrible at times but its just wind noise. Its really a blast to drive.

Looks/sounds good. What is your powerplant and drivetrain?

Thanks for the kind words guys.
David, The drivetrain is from a 2004 Chevy express 2500 van. The engine is a 4.8 litre v8 and a 4l80e automatic. I'm also running the stock t-case and axles with 1100x16 Michelin xzl's. My build thread is right here if you're interested.

Another interesting note. In the begining of the driving video, there is an old red building, with a silver roof. That used to be the fire station where my truck served as our community's Brush truck. That was well before I lived here, and they have since then, built a new fire station. Snowdad has told me that he remembers driving by and seeing my truck sitting outside that old building.

I thought I should show you guys what I was working on over the winter.
I used Some 1000 denier Cordura nylon in the ACU pattern I got off of Ebay. I made my templates out of cardboard, and stitched it all up on an old Singer sewing machine. I used some 1/4" grommet kits from homedepot, and some parachute cord to lace them on. There were some remnants of the original canvas covers under the fire dept. black vinyl covers. I tried to keep my design similar to those originals, eventhough they were too far gone to use as templates. the original matt and foam covering the springs was all shot as well. I used some remnants of looped pile carpet held in place with zip ties(instead of hog rings) and some 1" foam that I had. All together I think I have about $50 in my seats, they are pretty comfortable, and I like the way they look.

I was able to spend a bit of time on my truck this weekend. I decided My truck should have a tailgate, so that's what I worked on. I'm pretty pleased with it so far. It will have to wait a month or two for paint, so I may change something if I find something I don't like. It ended up a bit heavier than I anticipated, but its not too heavy to open or close comfortably.
