OK, turn signal problem.
First the basics, the truck has the Sid Beck Greek wiring harness. I added wires into the harnesses to run the turn signals. Using the military turn signal switch and the military solid state flasher.

Here are the symptoms:
Right hand turn signals function correctly.
Left hand turn signal flashes correctly in the front, but BOTH rears flash.
Brake lights function correctly.
Hit the brakes and the right turn signal, the right side flashes correctly, left brake stays lit, correctly.
Hit the brakes and the left turn signal, the front marker comes on and stays solid, no blinking and both brake lights stay solid, no blinking.

Would a malfunctioning flasher or turn signal switch cause these symptoms?
Is it more likely a wire connected wrong and backfeeding through other lights?

I'd say wiring, not the flasher unit, sounds like a crossed wire (or more).

Tim. I would start with disconnecting all the wires going to the flasher unit, and with the wiring diagram put POS+ voltage to each wire and see what lights up. If all works there then I would look to the flasher and switch...

I agree with Sal but also check your grounds on all your lights. These trucks will do strange things when not grounded properly.

It sounds like the flasher unit itself may be the problem. Another place to check is verify that the lamps are fully set in the socket, if the contacts on the bottom of the lamp touch both socket contacts it will give you issues. If the problem still exist remove the lamps and try the blinkers, use a meter to test if it's working. The harness is more than likely not at fault. Check all clamps and other attachments to verify that nothing pinched the wires. With all this said I still think it's the flasher unit. If possible try another unit. Ed

This is why I hate M-series. It seems that I am always battling turn signal issues. I will say the one on my M-37 since Ive had it going. It works EVERYTIME I install it:)
