Solution to Vendors Asking What Vehicle You're Working On

Hi Guys,
Ever notice when you go to a military swap meet that as soon as you look at a vendors stuff he always asks that question......what type of vehicle are you working on? I appreciate the interest, but it gets a bit old after awhile. So I decided to solve that problem. I took the M37 logo, detailed it a bit, and answered the vendors question before they can ask it. Now I just need to put it on a T-shirt and wear it to the next swap meet. What do ya think?

Bob,
That is a great idea for shirts. Kind of a niche market.Who drew that oringinal logo for our webpage? I wonder if we could use it on T's?

Hi David,
I was under the impression that the logo came from one of the M37 manuals. If not I surely don't want to be stealing someone's logo. I also don't think the resolution of my pic is going to be high enough to blow up to T-Shirt size. But there are ways around that..........

That's a cool idea. I do believe that picture is from the operator's manual.
My biggest problem is when I go in to an auto parts store and ask for a bearing or seal or something non vehicle specific and the little pup behind the counter insists he needs my vehicle make and model.
I tell him "no you don't, look up this seal number". If he insists, I tell him what it's for. Then his brain freezes up.

Refit.....I think we've all been there. Always amazes me that people who sell parts....who spend the entire day in front, around, and in parts.....aren't the least bit interested in really SELLING parts unless they can look it up on their computer. There's one old guy at our local NAPA who usually overhears me asking the young uninterested guy helping me for something and after said youngster says "can't help you" he trots over, pulls out some old shredded parts book no one else can seem to find....and finds me my part.
Same thing goes for car salesmen. You'd think they have nothing to do pretty much all day....so they'd read up on the vehicles they're selling. NOPE. They can't answer the simplest of questions about the vehicle.
Pretty sad state of affairs these days......oh well.......I'm starting to sound just like my Dad when he was my age.
