Lots of M37's around here, all of these are within 30 miles or so of my house, I got more pics

Here are a couple of trucks I found at the National Training Center at Fort Irwin California when I was an OC there in 1999, lots of M37's some 715's and others out there on the old ranges that were used as hard targets at one time.

It's really sad to see these great trucks go to the bone/scrap/grave yard when they could be saved for the fore most either by a completed restore or just donor parts. I really can't get the concept of the owner whom won't sell but would rather it rot back to the ground or ask ungodly price for it. For me if I have no more use for it and some one wants it then it will be gone.

There is a M37 for sale here but they want way too much for it. It has the blowen engine in the bed with a short block installed that the cyclinders is full of water and rusted up. Other problems it has been converted to 12V and the wiring harness all butchered up with civilian wires running every where also it has a hard top made totaly out of plywood. I made an offer but got laughed at. I'll check back in a month or 2 to see if he will bite.

MAN.... Being new to the M37 world, I read a lot about guys looking for decent fenders as they are usually rotted under the headlights (I am lucky.. mine came from the AR region as well and is in great shape body wise)


all these posted pictures....I see a lot of these trucks have really nice front fenders with no rot!

I bet there are a lot of guys reading this section drooling over those parts!

I think it's just fine for some of those old rusty heaps to head to the crusher... lower the available count will increase the value of ours. Who am I kidding, there are only a select few people that are in this hobby and make a dime. I know I'm not one of them.
