Hi Guys,

I need a bit of help with the inner windshield part number (the "U" shaped part that the glass slides into). There's a guy on Ebay listing NOS frames he says fit the M37, M35, M54, and M80 and gives the part numbers as 8686995 and 2510010764339. I checked my ORD-9 for both 8686995 and 764339 and they are not the numbers listed for the frame. What's listed is CC-1277714, but I remember being told at one of the swap meets that the inner windows are the same for M37 and M35. One of my inner frames has bubbled, from rust I assume (see pic below), so if I can get an NOS one I'd like to. Can anyone make sense of the part numbers and let me know if what's for sale will fit? Or if you just flat out know the windshields for the M37 and M35/54/80 are different let me know that too.

"To be factual. The G-741 (M37 series), G-742 (M35 series), G-744 (5 ton series), and the G-809 (5 ton series) all used the same inner windshield. On all those trucks the units made in the early 50s used two different windshields on each truck. One for the left side and one for the right side. The only difference in the two windshields was the mounting and hole for the wiper. It was set off to one side on each windshield there by causing the need for two different windshields. They started using the inner windshield with the wiper mounted in the center after using the offset windshield units. And after that only one inner windshield type was used on each vehicle.

I have seen some inner windshields that have the rubber seal around the outside that is not of the correct width causing a small gap around the unit. Mostly caused by normal shrinkage due to being to long in the elements. I did however see one windshield that someone tried to repair and did not use a seal that was wide enough.

Thanks for the info. I checked my windshield and each one is exactly 28" wide with the hole for the wiper shaft in the center at 14" on both.

If you look on some website for M35 duce suppliers they have the windows new in the box for like something around $100-$150 each. But most of these are actually being made by Kia for the Kia version of the M35a2 that they provide the S. Korean Army.
