Was Battery Hold Down Bracket Rubber Coated?

Hi Guys,
Was the battery hold down bracket originally rubber coated? I ask because I picked up a battery box at Aberdeen that came with the inner tray and the hold down clamp. When I sandblasted the tray (that sits under the batteries) I can see it was originally rubber coated. But the top hold down bracket I'm not sure about. Anybody know?
