Can the M37 gurus help me ID this fuel pump? I assume its not OEM? Is this a common fuel pump from the era, or a special? Should I leave it (I hate the glass bowl) or replace?

That depends on your budget and your goal. If you want to return the vehicle to it's stock condition and have the funds replace the fuel pump. If it works at the moment I'd leave it in place while you assess what other needs the vehicle has and prioritize your projects. It isn't hard to replace at any point along the way. If the pump is fairly old, as you probably suspect, keep a close watch on your oil condition. The new gasoline will degrade the seals in the pump.

Are you going to use vacuum windshield wipers? The M37 series had a double action pump to power the vacuum wipers.

I believe that may be a fuel pump for a civilian PW. Was at NAPA today looking for new fuel pumps and the one they had listed for the WM300 looks like this.

It is the one I am running on my truck since I have installed electric wipers. As stated if you are going to run the vacuum wipers you will need the stock pump :)
