Gaining confidence...

My Ram 1500 spent some time in the shop last week; therefore I had to press my M37 into service-balky brakes and all. Anyway, I tested the emergency brake and it had full functionality so I was confident enough to put approximately 100 miles or so on the engine (it's a 10 mile round trip to work and back times x days). I never exceeded 35 MPH and traffic was light-I was pleased to not have any major issues other than a slight coolant leak and ran out of gas once (but I had the full jerry can with me so it was no big deal).

Anyway, the M is now back in the garage and awaits my next opportunity to do more fixin'....

Gary,

I'm glad to hear that you didn't have any problems with the M.

Good to hear the M served you well as a temporary daily driver. Hope you get your brakes fixed up, you don't want to rely on that parking brake alone if a situation arrises. Given the size of these trucks, that brake band linkage is not the beefiest
