Got a CDN version M37. Among the many things I find that have been changed or incorrectly assembled, A NOS exhaust system for a US truck won't fit. Bolts up fine but demensions are way off. Anyone know if the manifolds are the same between these two versions? Carb, Dist. and fuel pump have been "updated". I think so were the manifolds for some reason.

If I recall the 251 cid engine in the Canadian trucks and civvy PW's are about 6" longer than the 230. I would not think the manifolds would be the same other than the exhaust pipe flange?

Actually the blocks are about 2" longer on the 251. No way the 230 manifold will stretch that extra 2"!

Thanks for the info. This engine is coverted to 12V and has a civilian carb. I'm thinking both manifolds are civilian also. The inner fender was removed by torch method and by the looks of the parts left after the muffler fell off, a real shade tree job was done to make it fit.
What a can gather, the outlet from the manifold is about 4" farther forward and about 2" shorter. So, I cut the new pipe under the front leaf spring, Removed the flange and rewelded about 15 degrees toward the engine to line up with the muffler installed in the correct position. Cut a piece of exhaust pipe from the scrap pile and welded it in the gap. It is 4" longer and fits without inner fender contact now. Only issue is the engine splash pan, location of pipe interferes. It has been burned off also, so I think it will stay that way.
