Last I looked about 2 hours before the end, the 2 or 3 better trucks were at $2,200.00 and the lesser ones were at $800.00 to $1,100.00. Did anyone see if there was a jump in prices at the end ???
One person that viewed the lot, said that they were a little rougher than what the pictures protrayed.

Hello fellow M37 owners, Oilleaker1 AKA John in the Black Hills. We drove one home 70 miles yesterday for my friend Wyowillys. The man in charge, David Capps was a great help to us extending the typical Wyo. neighbor attitude. I looked all the trucks over two years ago, and wanted a few. Ended up buying two for myself at other locations, so I advised Morgan about which ones and what the conditions were. He went and looked and picked the one that I started up and checked out two years ago. Hulett's Volenteer FD. We named him that--------"Hulett". Oil was good, antifreeze good, no brakes, new batteries installed, tires up good, fresh gas and seafoam, bang, started right up. Dave, asked us what we were planning, and smiled when we said " were are driving it home". He came out with a pressure bleeder full of Dot 5 and helped us bleed the brakes. A few other guys were there loading another, and most of the rest (trucks) were sitting there saying "take me too, I wanna go with you guys" LOL. Ended up fouling a plug before we got out the gate, so it was a slow trip home on 5 cylinders, didn't have the extra plug to change it out, and the weather was changing so we booked for the state line. Along the way was a overturned semi that caught a wheel off the shoulder, lost it, and rolled. Smelled familiar, full of Bud Light!

Man was it hard not to stop and see whether a M37 could really haul 2000 lbs of blue full cans

A successful recovery and another one saved from the scrapper! Hulett will have two friends nearby, Tuffy and Scruffy. Bring your friends out to the Black Hills, and we'll get together for a Green Disease shindig! John

Great story Oilleaker1 but you should of stopped and helped clean up the spill from the semi.

Nothing like the smell of fresh Bud Light in the morning.

There was some people standing there having "breakfast", but when we came back by two SD HP's were there and a recovery team loading the stuff that was still good. Sad scene for the truck though. All the way back people were smiling and waving to Morgan in the M37. They didn't even notice me

Oh well, I'll have to get mine out and go get some waves. Recoveries are fun, especially when I didn't spend the money. I did get breakfast out of the deal. I'm afraid the well of surplused 50's vintage Jeeps and trucks is drying up fast. The good part is that our trucks should become more valuable as time goes on. John

That's a nice looking M37 you picked up. Is the cab solid? What kind of FD modifications do you have to undo?
