This one has me puzzled. Does anyone know what kind of latch/hook etc is supposed to be fitted to the rear sliding window of
the arctic cab to stop it sliding around when I go round corners ?
Maybe its supposed to be a friction fit but I aint sure :| .

Anybody out there any ideas?

Cheers

No latch on mine and no sign there ever was one.

I think that, like most sliding windows, they were a friction fit. Those weather strips do tend to lose their grip a little after the first 50 years or so.

Friction fit only on mine. No latch or detent stops. If yours is sliding around you just need new
weather stripping to fix the problem. Or you could just slow down around those curves. :D

If your driving so fast around corners, how about using OD 100 MPH tape to keep it closed?

haha, its not the speed round the corner that does it, its the sharpness of the corner. We dont have straight roads in Scotland

No latch on mine. I think one of the jack stands would have to fall over for it try and slide much.

Speaking of Scotch, maybe with a few hits of single malt you wouldn't notice or even care if the artic cab window
slides around.

Try Some Warm Sheep Dip ? Na ! Na ! Na ! Ha Ha , " went to my local hardware store and pick up a 12''x12'' square pice of rubber sheet, Cut about 3" pice and fold in half and stuff it in the passeger side between the window and back of cab , it also keeps it from ratteling . 8)
