Here's a link to the pictures of my M37 and M101 trailer at the Classic "Cars and State" in Madison WI at the capital. It was a huge turn out of spectators, and my truck was a huge hit, with all the militaria and the military radios playing period music and war news.
The truck ran fine even pulling the 3/4 trailer full of gear. I had a bit of a scare the day before, somehow while I was cleaning it in prep for the show I detached and ignition wire in the distributor and ..No Start... after a few panicked minutes I found it and she fired right up.

Yes, very sharp display. Is the overhead photo taken from the old Howard Johnson's Downtown roof? Did you plan on the spot in front of the cafe?

They pick 100 cars to attend, and they 'try' to line them up by era, per block, so I was in the 200 block, one block down from the capital, and we didn't pick the cafe' but it was out of business anyway.
The over head shots were taken from the roof top garden of the Overture Center.
The crowds were huge, and great folks for the most part, being in Madison I did have a couple of comments about me being a "war monger" and one lady said she'd never thought she'd see the day a Army truck 'representing hatred' would be at a "nice old car show'. That one I responded to, I pointed out my hood numbers, and my unit affiliations, and told her my Uncle and my father didn't want to go to war, they didn't grow up thinking "gee I'd like to attack someone...." They answered the call when her Nation need them to, they defended and fought for our rights, so that my truck, these cars, and all those people up at the capitol could stand there in the snow, the heat, the rain, and voice their opinions free from persecution. I was a bit miffed, but I was nice about it, before long I was showing her my scrap book, and then she had me take a picture of her, in which I let her sit in the front seat (which I almost never do). I hoped I changed her attitude a bit..
Another group was having a small conference at the university, Veteran Student Association, one guy came down and asked if a few others could come down and get some photos.. around lunch time about 25 guys and galls all nicely dressed walked up, all in mid 20's to mid 30's... and vets, and got a group picture in front of my truck.....
Both of those incidents, the vets and the pacifist... both are priceless.

The Next day we took the M37 to Cars and Coffee near us that is primarily the high end sport car collector market.. Porsche, Ferrari, Lotus, Lamborghini, Jaguar, some rare exotic "one off" racers, Ford Shelbys, a couple of roadsters, and of course, parked in the middle is my 'Miss Adventure'
Lotta fun and some cool comments, I always get asked if I did the restoration myself, which I did, so I thought I'd ask these folks about theirs, I would say 85% didn't do anything to their cars after buying them except wipe them with diapers. One guy with a very cool old Jaguar when I asked how he restored his, he said "I wrote and very big check" and I still am writing very big checks to keep her on the road!"

Great photos . Your truck and trailer look really good. Kudos to you for handling the criticism the way you did. I don't know if I would have been able to respond so well.
