fording shroud

Any idea what the going rate for a fording shroud now? Ive got one i want to part with and really dont know what to ask for it. I know its a hard part to get ahold of so i dont want to give it away. Any ideas?

Frankly it isn't worth that much except for show type vehicles that are being judged on correctness. I'd say honestly whatever you can get for it and be satisfied.

Running the shroud on a vehicle all the time will starve the engine to death for air, cause terrible fuel mileage, and other issues if it is used continually. It was meant to be used when fording only, then removed and stored during normal operations.

What exactly is a fording shroud?

Never heard of that part before.

An enclosure that houses the air cleaner for fording operations. It has only a 2.5" ID opening for air to enter.

Hi ,managed to find one a few years back in a scrap yard,thought it would complete the engine ,and looks great,but going by what MseriesRebuild has said about fuel consumption i will be taking it off as soon as i get home..its going to cost enough as it is..
