I was getting the cowl vent area ready for reassembly yesterday, and in gathering the various bits and pieces together, I noticed something odd. One of the circuit breakers had a Douglas connector attached to it, but instead of a wire coming out of the shell, there is a small 90 degree steel angle bracket attached to it. There is a hole in the end of the bracket, but it wasnt screwed or bolted to anything. It looks like a termination fitting, but why? Maybe to keep the mud daubers out of the unused circuit breakers?

Correct, it is a spare breaker that has no circuit attached.

The small bracket allows you to bolt the spare wire and Douglas connector to a nearby structure to keep it from dancing around and getting shorted.
