Windshield weatherstripping question

I am beginning to get my windshield parts together. I have some of the waetherstripping, need to order others. I have the round seals that go the length of the hinges, it is round, a little thinner than a pencil. I notice there are small seals at each end of the hinge, of the same material. The seals I have are rolled up in a sealed plastic bag, with a slip of paper giving the stock numbers and nomenclature. If I roll the seal out, it is about the length of the hinge. if I stretch it a bit it is long enough to trim off the couple of small pcs needed. Is this correct, or are the small seals a seperate item?
Thanks,
Tim

Original parts would have been 3 separate pieces. It's anyone's guess as to what your supplier may be suggesting. I can tell you this though; if you install the long piece in a stretched state, it will tend to pull itself back to a relaxed fit making it hard to keep glued into place. It is better to install it in its relaxed state rather than stretched.

Thanks Charles.
Sounds good, I will just get another length of the stuff and cut the 4 pieces.

Tim,
I need to redo my windshields. Where did you get your seals?

hi Joe,
George Mainairi had them. I will call him tomorrow and see if he still has any. I will let you know if he does.
