I was just reading the article on insuring a HMV in the spring issue of MV magazine. Has anyone had any experience with J.C. Taylor or Continental Western. I was thinking of insuring my M37 with either one but I want to be sure they are good companies to deal with. Thanks for any and all input.

I dont have experience with Continental, but J. C. Taylor turned me down when I applied for insurance with them for my Power Wagon. I have 3 Power Wagons insured by Heacock Classic Insurance. They have been great to deal with so far, although I have not put in any claims. I suppose thats where you really find out what they are like. Give them a call, (877) 809-7898

:D I have American collectors Insurance on my M37(1-800-360-2277) The policy cost is approx. $200.00 a year for a good policy ,fire ,theft ,collision , towing , even changing a flat ( I would pay to watch some 18 Yr old tow jockey fix a flat on a MV) Very easy to deal with ,they do have a mileage limit (5000) which in my case is no problem . It basically covers your vehicle for everything , but daily driving . Then you probably be better served just getting a regular policy from your broker. The price is contingent on how much you say your vehicle is worth . I have mine at $10,000 , which is probably more then it's worth if I tried to sell it (motor pool class) I am interested in acquiring a M35a2 and they said they would cover that also ,same type of deal . Be aware that most of these policies DO NOT allow riders in the bed of the vehicle , for obvious reasons ( can you say LAWYER fast) hope this helps some . Bob k

GOOD AM,
I have used J.C. Taylor for the past 10 -12 years, no problem. I have my M currently insured with them; $67.00 per year. Covers everything, fire theft, comp, liability, everything on an agreeded upon vaue of $6,700. You must keep the MV in a garage, only drive it "occassionally", whatever that means.
GOOD LUCK BOB

I have J.C. Taylor for my M38. My 37 is still in the rebuild process :( I had a claim with them and they where absolutely great to deal with. Hoping to do my M-37 with them when the time comes.

JC Taylor has had my bid'ness for more than 10 years this go around, they also had my 53 Bow-Tie for almost the same amount of time. No experience with any of the others mentioned.

JC Taylor had my insurance on my M37, MB and M101, I switched last year only because my 'regular' insurance company beat their rate on my 'classics'. Although I never had a claim, they were always punctual, and up front with details.
