military to civilian plug wire adapters

I just figured out that there is some sort of adapter in my truck to convert civilian plug wires to screw onto the military distributor. Has anyone else seen something like this? They are machined steel and really seem to do the trick, they even seal up! Just curious if these were made by someone or if they were something that was sold for these trucks to "civilianize" them later on. Also would there be any interest in me making sets of these? I have access to a full machine shop and i could pop out a bunch of these fairly quickly. Heres some pictures of them, what do you think?

GOOD MORNING,
I for one would be interested in a set, depending on the price. i put about 1500 miles per year on my M, so I have not had an issue with the orig plugs yet. If I could use cevie plugs and save the set of steel plugs; that would work for me.
THANKS BOB

The rubber pieces look like faucet washers. The metal piece looks like the connector on a cannon plug from a radio set. Not sayin' they
are...just sayin' they
look like...

They look like aircraft magneto to plug wire parts. The red rubber parts look like the seal boots that go on Slick aircraft plug wires. Take them to your local small airport and show them to the mechanic and see what he can match up..
