Thanks guys. I installed it yesterday, the mounting holes lined up with the ones in the truck, I tapped them out to 10-32 thread and used some screws I had on hand and now it almost looks like it's suppposed to be there.

Carter,
The installation looks nice but you forgot to paint the bracket OD.
Where is the picture of the plate of cookies?

Most brackets I have seen are black for original installation. Unless they got caught up in a quicky repaint.

Like Tom stated, most were black. Never saw one OD from the manufacture but that does not mean none were, just not the ones I have seen.
Sandy has been baking homemade bread lately, cookies are usually a Christmas thing, but since you ask

Good find and price. I have a carbon tet one that I got out of the Radio City Music Hall machine room when I ran the full renovation of same. My error was not getting the bracket, otherwise I'll follow your lead. I did mine 66 oz. of pure silver from that plant though.

You could buy a bunch of brackets for the dollar value of 66 oz. of silver.
This ext. was empty when bought or I would have emptied it, Carbon tetrachloride is bad stuff.

Carter, here is an update. I got over to my rental garage and retrieved my old carbon tet extinguisher. I had it in my cars truck all day and then took it out to look at. Firstly I was wrong as I was smart enough to grab the bracket. Secondly when I folded out the nozzle it started spraying as it was still loaded and being in the truck the heat raised the pressure. I gave it a pump or two and worked fine. My next step is to figure out how to empty it and only use water in it. I read it makes a great water gun. Here is a link to the Wilbur type I have and mine is in about the same condition.

Never saw one with a separate pump like that, $195 seems like a lot for an extinguisher, maybe it's something very rare. Good you have the mounting bracket. Usually one of the top mounted caps used for filling will serve to empty the carbon tet, at least that how it works on many of them.
