This tire safety video was posted on one of my aviation related forums. While relevant to anyone working on any mounted tires this Bridgestone produced video appears to be directed at the truck industry. Makes me appreciate the thermal relief plugs we have on the wheels of the machine I drive at work as those brakes have to stop over 300,00 pounds from speeds above 150mph........ and they can get really hot!

Very informative and educational. One would never think a few seconds of welding could cause such a reaction

Very scarey even heating a lug nut could cause the tire to explode. wow. Like Sotven I thought it was on time lapse at first.
Thanks for the link Av8tor.

Interesting video and one thing that I noticed is that tire is new, unlike a old milspec M-37 tire that has had 50 years of life and break down of the rubber becoming dried out and cracked with weak cords. Just imagine how a tire would let loose in that same type example, might give a whole new meaning to high order.
